The surrounding hills, excellent climate and the proximity to stunning and unspoilt beaches make this area the ultimate location in which to achieve our unique results. A sub-tropical microclimate gives an average of 320 days of sunshine a year with short mild winters and long hot summers.

This is perfect for The Camp fitness regime between the end of October and beginning of April.

Andalucía is the most natural area in south west Spain & The Camp is situated in a little village at the foot of the Sierra of Cazulas and the Park of Tejeda, La Almijara y Alhama, in the beautiful province of Granada. At 280 metres above sea level the sloping hillsides and scenic views across the valley are the main features of the Otivar mountains. In its municipal area the Rio Verde begins to flow, going through the valley and watering the land, providing an abundance of subtropical fruits. Otivar, is without doubt the ideal place to get lost and to enjoy the fresh air and subtropical climate.

Typical Andalusian streets have that appealing rustic charm – small whitewashed houses featuring explosions of coloured plants. Having escaped the concrete developments which predominate further west it's a favoured holiday haunt of the Spanish from Granada as it provides excellent leisure and sporting facilities but has not been tainted by the trappings of mass tourism. The nearby coastline stretches for 19 kilometres with no less than 26 different beaches.

The stunning property comprises the mansion where most of the accommodation is located, a separate cottage with two twin bedrooms, private chapel, tennis court, several large terraces and an outside summer eating area, all surrounded by magnificent unspoilt views of the hillside and valley. Ancient cypress hedges border an attractive swimming pool that is fed by a natural spring.

The ornamental Moorish gardens have been laboriously restored to their former glory giving our clients the opportunity to wander or relax in total peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by centuries old palm trees, shady borders, colourful exotic plants and ancient trees bearing lemons, tangerines & avocados.

The historical mansion is set entirely on its own and is not surrounded by tourists or holiday makers - we offer total privacy & isolation. Entry to the property is electronically controlled, guaranteeing privacy at all times.

THE COURSE AT THE CAMP :

The first days are broken up into hourly sessions on site, or in the nearby hills and woodland and will include military fitness activities. Throughout the week you will also be taken to enjoy hikes and gorge walking in the beautiful surroundings this area has to offer.

Sample Activities - wake up PT & stretch, hiking in the Sierras de Almijara and Cazulas mountain ranges, gorge walking at Junta de Los Rios, boxercise, trim trail, pool sessions, team games on the tennis court, circuit training & core stability work to name a few.

You will follow The Camp diet plan devised by our nutritionists in tandem with Edinburgh University experts (we provide recipes to take away with you). Sessions with our nutritionist and your group physical trainer will help you to continue to lose weight once you have returned home.

All rooms have private bathrooms with showers & baths.

This price includes accommodation, meals, snacks, activities, the relevant equipment, fitness information, insurance, airport transfers and credit card charges. Please note that the course we offer is of the highest standard.

A telephone & fax machine is available to clients on request.  A wireless internet connection is available at the property which is provided free of charge.  Clients will need to bring Wi Fi enabled devices.  Mobile signal is available, but intermittent.
